Site Update

Hey there...

Haven't updated the old blog in a while...

We put up a new "Tip of the Week" feature regarding muscle recovery. The link to the full article by Dr. Edmund Burke is here. Recovery is critical for all athletes, especially runners because of the impact and breakdown of your joints and muscles. Most athletes don't allow their bodies to recover properly, which can lead to overtraining or injury. It can be from not taking enough easy days or it can be from not getting the types of nutrients or elements the body desperately needs to replenish and aid itself in the recovery period after a harder effort.

Dr. Burke's article talks about the R4 system discovered in the 90's, which has been proven to accelerate the recovery process through 4 principles:
