Everett Hill’s PR Parade Continues

Everett Hill has been working with Run SMART coach Vince Sherry for almost three years now. He has turned 50 since and is still setting new personal bests over a variety of distances. Just three weeks after setting a new half marathon PR in Nashville, Everett ran his fastest 5k ever in 23:54 at the Alpharetta 5k, dropping 37 seconds off of his previous best.

After Vince forwarded Everett’s results I did a quick search since it seems like Everett runs a PR every time he signs up for a race. I just mentioned his two most recent PRs, then there was the 8-minute PR at the Marine Corps Marathon last year, and a PR for 7k here, and his PR in the infamous sauna that was the 2008 Chicago Marathon here, or how about his first 5k PR under Vince here, or his 24-minute PR at PF Chang’s Marathon here, and of course his first PR with Run SMART here.  The man is an inspiration to many – and now consider the fact that less than 7 years ago in New York City he was on life support after 8 hours of open heart surgery during the largest blackout in history.
